At work we are having a Finger Food Potluck so I decided to make cake truffles.
I made Chocolate Cake Truffles with chocolate frosting and a dark chocolate coating as well as Red Velvet Cake Truffles with cream cheese frosting and a white chocolate coating.
To Make: Just use your favorite cake recipe, bake your cake and let it cool completely. Next, mash up the cake and add in your favorite frosting (add enough to make it the mixture moist and malleable). Use a regular cookie scoop and then roll the mix into balls. Put the balls in the fridge while you melt the chocolate. Drop the balls in the chocolate and cover completely, then remove and let cool. Add any toppings or color you want!
